I’ll never get bored!
I just can’t help acting when I see an opportunity, so when I read in the Sunday Times about Matthew Hutton’s new book, I could straight away see what was needed.
Matthew’s book sets out to help its readers prepare now, for when their families are trying to cope after they’ve died. What kind of funeral did they want? Is there a will, and even, what is their Facebook log in so that I can announce their demise, then close it down?
On its own, it’s a sombre subject for an event, but alongside my friend Nigel Hughes, who tells an upbeat story about surviving cancer, you have the makings of an event that is both informative and entertaining.
So I introduced them to each other, and quickly found myself organising an event at which both will speak. It takes place in Leiston on Tuesday 18th March, and is sponsored by solicitors Birketts LLP and the East of England Coop.
Tickets cost £5.00, there’ll be cake and all ticket income will go to St Elizabeth’s Hospice, a Suffolk charity that supports people facing the end of life.
I’m expecting the event to sell out, so why not book your tickets today? Here’s a link.
