I made a new friend yesterday

My morning was spent dragging dead branches out of the small area of woodland in what will become our garden at Dunn’s Barn. As I dragged each branch, a robin followed me, picking up any tasty morsels I’d raked up as I passed.

He was appreciative, and sat on a nearby branch chirping, as if encouraging me to do more. This was a perfect symbiotic relationship. I was rewarded with encouraging chirps, and he (or perhaps it was a she) with worms and grubs.

Later in the day I was in Norwich, which was packed with Christmas shoppers so very different. I realised that of the two places, Dunn’s Barn was by far where I want to spend my time.
