Badgers!
We share our new home with a family of badgers. Their sett is a few yards in front of what will by my study window. Badgers are largely nocturnal, so I’m unlikely to see them unless at my desk late in the evening, or (more likely) before dawn.
I recently invested in a trail camera, to capture some images of these interesting neighbours. The paddock our home overlooks belongs to the Cupola, a nearby country house with a fascinating history. It’s recently changed hands, and the new owner is keen to see sheep grazing his land.
So from our new home we will be able to watch sheep by day, and badgers by night. While this sounds distinctly rural, our new home is a short walk from the centre of Leiston. We will have the best of both worlds!
